This article elaborates on a new Internet protocol named RoboNet - Artificial Media Protocol (RAMP) as a feasible and effective instrument that aims to enable serious benefits for Internet's AI era at a very low technical and regulatory/political cost. The protocol implementation creates an operational distinction between artificially generated media and human made content by enforcing that some AI systems and specifically AI generated content, to no longer get served online by the HTTP/S protocol, adopting as standard the proposed new RAMP protocol and its specifications instead. RAMP adoption establishes a technical and legal terminology for the hosting and serving of critical AI software and systems, while at the same time that it provides a solid common AI content provenance instrument that tackles many modern misuses of today’s technologies. RoboNet aims to enable a future where the people have the choice to either consume or not AI with a simple button on their phones and other internet devices and by doing so, it streamlines a more responsible engagement between AI service providers and Internet users.
